Dr. Gordon Lau

Gordon is both a Medical Doctor as well as a Physiotherapist with over a decade of experience working on the Central Coast. After completing his postgraduate experience locally in the Central Coast Local Health District, he entered General Practice because loves the variety and the options for continuation of care.

With a special interest in Paediatrics, Mental Health, Rehabilitation Medicine (especially Spinal Cord Injuries), and Musculoskeletal / Sports Medicine, he likes to inject an element of fun (where possible) into his consultations and offers genuine care when sharing knowledge to help his patients learn how to take better care of themselves and those they care about. He loves working collaboratively with his patients and other health professionals to optimise their outcomes. In his spare time, he loves exercising, cooking, chasing sunrises, and volunteering with charities doing projects both locally and abroad. Bitten by the “Study Bug,” he loves attending workshops and courses to further his learning to fuel his professional and personal interests.

As a crazy traveller, he counts being stalked by a mountain lion whilst hiking in Yosemite amongst his most exhilarating travel experiences!

Gordon consults from Mingara Health at the Mingara Medical Consulting Rooms at Tumbi Umbi on Tuesdays & Thursdays.  Gordon also works with Headspace at Gosford and is a medical educator for the RACGP.
